Born and raised in small town Ontario, Matt Gunn combines a mix of soul, motown, and reggae to prove to the world there is more to the country than just honky tonks and cowboy boots.

 

Influenced by Van Morrison, Marvin Gaye, and The Slackers, Matt creates a blend of sounds to soothe even the pickiest of ear drums.

 

After returning from 6 months of traveling and performing in Germany, Matt is currently in the studio recording his 2nd solo album (7th album overall). This new record titled “Staring at Nothing” gives a modern touch to a sound you forgot you loved.

 

All instruments on the albums are written and performed by Matt and if you have a chance to see him perform solo (just a man and his guitar) you won’t be upset by the intimate and passionate performance.
